The TELI2 transnational group commenced their first day of training at South and East Cork Area Development Partnership CLG – SECAD on 9th October 2017. This marked the beginning of a great week of learning and site visits. Local Action Group (LAG) representatives from Croatia, Slovenia, Romania, Poland, Portugal and of course from SECAD all participated in this blended learning experience. The week in Midleton, Ireland represents the first block release of three training workshops overall in the course of this pilot accredited TELI2 training programme.
SECAD were proud to share a long history of supporting the community in Youghal to access LEADER funding down through the years.
Visits included the Youghal Clockgate, St Mary’s Collegiate Church & Gardens, Tulip Umbrellas, and Youghal Enterprise Centre with the Art Studios at the Raleigh Quarter Youghal. This concluded with a hands on ornithologist experience at the Bird Trail at Ballyvergan Marsh in East Cork.
Another morning of LEADER supports project visits brought transnational group to Cobh taking in the Titanic Experience, Cobh Titanic Memorial Garden and Sirius Arts Centre, concluding with a visit to the Cobh Platform public exhibition space.
